Welcome to the About Me page.

Little known fact.  I come straight out of the backwoods of Minnesota.

Okay fine.  You caught me.  That’s not only not “little known” it’s also not true.  I come straight out of your a-typical Midwestern, suburban neighborhood just a few miles west of Minneapolis.  But it felt sort of backwoodsy sometimes… Ok, not really.  We did have a growing rabbit population though.

Anyway.  I’m from the suburbs of Minneapolis and have transplanted myself (for the moment anyway) to Oakland, California.  The heart of the ghetto… erm.. of “culture,” I meant to say…  I’ve lived here for a while now and here is where I rediscovered my love for photography and am now trying to accomplish more with it than just taking photos of my pets (although, there are still plenty of those around!)

My passion is nature, but I have discovered an interest in all the different genres of photography.  I am always amazed by what can be seen when you look through the view finder and how much the perspective changes.  Imagine what the world would be like if we could only see things 4″ x 6″?

One of the things I love about photography is it’s changed the way I view things beyond the camera.  It’s taught me to see what most people would consider insignificant details in their everyday lives.  Basically, it’s changed my perspective.
